Compression garments (tights, sleeves, socks) apply graded pressure to a limb, theoretically reducing swelling and muscle oscillation and aiding venous return. For recovery (worn during or after exercise), the evidence is modest:

  • Faster strength/power recovery: some studies show small benefits to recovery of strength and power; results are mixed and effects are modest.
