Sequencing concentrated, single-focus blocks (accumulation → transmutation → realization) so each builds on the residual effects of the last, rather than chasing many qualities at once.
Block periodization (associated with Issurin and Verkhoshansky) replaces the idea of training everything a little, all the time, with concentrated loading: each block develops one or two compatible qualities intensely, exploiting the residual training effect (a quality persists for a period after its dedicated training stops), so the next block can build on what the previous one left behind.

Limitations: detraining risk for a quality once its block ends (mitigated by residuals and brief maintenance work); requires accurate knowledge of residual durations and is overkill for beginners.
